We've put together all the guidelines you'll need in five detailed steps. Here, you will have access to:
- Materials to present the project to managers, teachers and families
- Support materials to plan, organize and implement the project
- Guidance on our app
- Step by step to turn your students into authors in an easy and magical way!
STEP 1 - Project presentation and approval (optional)
Do you want to share the news with the whole school or with families? Do you need approval to start the project? Or do you want to motivate teachers for this transformative journey?
We have prepared materials that will help you in each of these moments! 😄
Check out everything in this matter on our blog. There you find:
Teacher-to-manager presentation
Manager-to-Teacher Presentation
School presentation to family
Folders to share between teachers and administrators
Cards to share with families, teachers or managers
Our Instagram, Blog, Facebook and YouTube also help a lot to understand and be enchanted by the project, besides having many tips about education and the classroom.
STEP 2 - First steps in our magic app
Download the Magic Bookshelf app
#Spoiler: you will do everything there!
All the magic happens in our app, whether in remote or face-to-face teaching!
You register your students and groups, invite your team to follow the project, send the students' works and see the digital book ready. It's very intuitive and easy to use! Therefore, it is our only application channel.
For now, you must have at least one Android phone at school to continue. Click here to download and log in again with your email and password.
If you have a record with us from previous years, it's important to create a new account when downloading the app. You won't be able to access with the old registration, ok? You can use the same email as before and use this new registration from now on. 😉
#DicaMágica🎁: The application is still under construction, but you can already access the main features! We are always updating to ensure you have a magical experience there. If you have any feedback about it, we'd love to receive it!
#DicaMágica2🎁: Soon we will also have the Web version! But we don't recommend waiting for this release, as it can delay your project, ok? Remember that we only need one Android phone in the entire school!
Register classes and students
To keep everything well organized, you can create your classes within the app. This makes it easy to view participating students and navigate through all rooms!
First, create a class and name it what you like. Then, just include the students in that class by name. For example: you can create the “Infantil 2” class and register all students enrolled in that class, following the division that already exists in the school.
Register as many classes and students as you want and make changes at any time!
You can edit the name, switch students from class, add and delete students.
invite your team
The app has the option to send invitations for other people to access. With one click, you are directed to your WhatsApp with a ready-made message that we left there!
Invite teachers who will apply the project to enter the app. That's where they will continue their activities!
And you can also invite professional colleagues from other schools or institutions to know the project, as an indication.
STEP 3 - Planning and preparation
Teacher Resources
For this step, we have prepared various materials to support teachers and guide project implementation. You'll soon find everything in the app, but you already have access to the materials you'll need throughout the project on this exclusive Application Resources page
Motivation for students and families
Our virtual library is a great way to get students and families excited about the project. There, we gather works by our little authors, and everyone involved can already get a taste of what awaits them!
For the students, breaking the news that they will be real authors is a very special and important moment for them to be motivated throughout the project! The teacher can present the structure of the book, the biography that will be written by the family and tell a little about the autograph event (which we will explain later)
STEP 4 - Production and submission of stories
Time to stimulate children's creativity
With all our support material and tips, you're all set to go!
The project is aligned with the BNCC and follows the teaching and learning process from Kindergarten to the 5th grade of Elementary School, or for students aged 3 to 11 years.
Our app made it possible for teachers to have full autonomy to follow the project on their own, without depending on the help of managers or physical materials to continue. This makes remote learning application more practical for everyone! 😊
During classes, your students create their own stories, with six pages of text and six pages of image (which can be drawing, collage, play dough… whatever their imagination allows!), including the cover and title.
#Magic Tip🎁: The only format guidelines are: images must be square, and texts must follow the limit of 2020 characters per page.
Submit everything through the app!
Remember that you already left all your classes organized at the beginning of the project?
Now just click on each student's name and submit their work! Upload photos of the illustrations and type the texts. Simple, right?
And there's more: you don't have to wait for stories to be fully finished to load into the app. You can upload incrementally and track the submission status of each student as well as the entire project.
Author's biography
Like every great author, children also get a page with their biography in the book! And we dedicated this space for a family member to participate with great affection, talking a little about the literary star. 💛
The biography consists of an image and a text that must have up to 500 characters. It is sent directly by the teacher or teacher. The app has an exclusive space to copy and paste the author's biography, also clicking on each student's name.
In the future, family members will have access to the app and will be able to complete this step alone. For now, we count on your help!
#Reminder👀: For each story submitted in full, you receive the digital book ready on time!
STEP 5 - Book and Autograph Event
Digital and Printed Books
At the end of the project, we present all small authors with their own free digital book. It will always be available online!
Families also have the option of purchasing the printed version directly from the Magic Bookshelf. After all, this is a memory that deserves to be kept for a lifetime. 💙
But the purchase is not mandatory, ok? For those who want, the values are: R$39.00 for the conventional cover book and R$59.00 for the hardcover book. Books are sent to the school to organize the delivery and celebration event, and if purchased within the stated deadline, shipping is free!
Finally, that celebration we love!
Such an achievement deserves to be celebrated, don't you agree?
The school has the opportunity to bring together educators, families and the entire school community to celebrate with the newest literary stars.
You will also receive our material with tips for planning and organizing the event, which can be done in person or online - after all, the distance will not interfere with our emotions, right? 😍
To further encourage children's protagonism, students can present their books, give a speech and, of course, promote an autograph session for their guests!
#MagicTip🎁: Pay attention to the deadline for sending stories through our app! We need to receive everything two months before the date of the celebration event to guarantee the production and delivery time of printed books for the big day.
